Milk Carton Houses
It's great if you recycle your milk and juice cartons (don't forget to give them a rinse first!). Maybe you could try out this simple craft activity the next time before you pop them into the recycling bag.

Materials:
Empty milk carton
Scissors
Paint
Paintbrushes
Newspapers
(optional)

Instructions:

Step 1: If you're using taller cartons, cut the bottom part off. If you're using shorter cartons, you can skip this step.
Step 2: Paint all parts of the carton white. If your milk carton is of a very dark colour, paste a layer of newspaper over it before applying white paint. Leave it to dry.

Step 3: Cut out windows and doors with penknife/scissors (get an adult’s help!) then paint 2-3 coats of colour over the carton, giving different colours to windows and doors (allow paint to dry between coats).
Step 4: Add design and decorations. Leave the paint to dry. Then take it out and play!

This craft activity is brought to you by Buggy Bee Kids.
